Career Development Planning

It is recommended that students visit with Career Services early in their college career to create an individualized career success plan. Depending on your major and career plans, we can help you identify what you need to do and when you need to do it to be marketable when you graduate.

One important way students can set themselves apart in the post-graduation job search is by gaining experience while in college. Employers value job candidates who have gained professional skills and have a proven track record of successfully utilizing needed skills. Ways to gain experience include:

  • Internships
  • Part-time employment
  • Volunteer work
  • Leadership positions in on-campus organizations
