Fines and Holds

Overdue Charges:

Overdue materials are charged at the following rates:

  • Regular circulating materials: 25ยข per day per item up to a maximum of $10.00 or the cost of replacement per item
  • Reserve materials: $2.00 per day per item to a maximum of $50.00 or the cost of replacement per item
  • Fines totaling under $5.00 will be collected on a case by case basis.
  • After receiving 3 fines, students will be liable for the amount of the fine no matter the charge.
  • Lost materials:  see Lost or Damaged Replacement Policy

Library Holds:

Unpaid fines or overdue materials will cause a hold to be placed on that patron's record.  Such holds block the patron from checking out other library materials or, if a TJC student, from getting a transcript.  Contact the Circulation Desk in person or by calling 903-510-2502 for questions about any fines or holds.
