The Electrical/Electronic Controls Technology program at TJC provides students with electrical and controls skills that are needed in a variety of in-demand professions. Our graduates transition into highly valued jobs in the automation and manufacturing industries.
The EECT program is located at TJC West in the high-tech Energy Center, which was designed and constructed with community support for training for the jobs of tomorrow and beyond. Our labs harbor the latest training and testing gear to fully equip you to begin your career with confidence.
Work closely with other like-minded students who are interested in the components that make up electrical systems such as motors, circuits, electrical codes and automated systems. Our faculty are industry veterans who have a passion for teaching. They bring their real-world knowledge into the classroom and will help ensure your success in the field.
Graduates of the Electrical/Electronic Controls Technology program will normally start at the upper apprentice level. With sufficient training both on the job and specialized training provided by the controls manufacturers, an employee can progress to journeyman and senior technician.
