‘Humpback Whales’ dome show opens March 7
Narrated by actor and two-time Golden Globe nominee Ewan McGregor and captured with IMAX cameras, “Humpback Whales” takes audiences on an extraordinary journey into the hidden world of nature’s most awe-inspiring marine mammal.

Through IMAX footage from Alaska, Hawaii and the Kingdom of Tonga, get a close-up look at how these creatures communicate, sing, feed, play and care for their young.

Found in every ocean on Earth, humpbacks were nearly driven to extinction 50 years ago. Today, they are making a steady recovery. Join a team of researchers as they unlock the secrets of the humpback and find out why they are the most acrobatic of all whales, why they sing their haunting songs, and why these intelligent 55-foot, 50-ton animals migrate up to 10,000 miles round-trip each year.

“Humpback Whales” opens Tuesday, March 7, and show times are 2 p.m. daily. Theater seating is limited, and it is recommended that tickets be purchased in advance at the front counter or online at

Mad Scientists return March 18
Back by popular demand, the Dallas-based Mad Scientists will return for another Family Science Night, set 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 18.

Audiences will be amazed as they defy gravity in this energetic, interactive event. The program incorporates didgeridoo tubes, foaming hands and steaming chemical reactions, which will introduce children to a world of exciting chemistry, with a demonstration followed by hands-on activities and experiments that children can do themselves.

Admission is $10 per person, and tickets can be purchased in person or online at
