Tyler Junior College was well represented during this week’s annual Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce membership drive.
TJC President and CEO Dr. Juan E. Mejia celebrated the work by the Tyler Chamber and praised the volunteers who joined TJC Gold Team throughout the multi-day event.
“We cannot show enough appreciation to our many community ambassadors, who contributed their personal time and energy to have such a positive impact in our region,” he said.
The TJC Gold Team was co-chaired by Mejia and Kevin Fowler, TJC executive director for regional community engagement. Team captains included TJC Vice Presidents Mitch Andrews, Kim Lessner and Sarah Van Cleef, with assistance from Director of Bands Jeremy Strickland, Director of Student Life Lauren Tyler and Athletic Director Kevin Vest.
Rounding out the team were: Dana Ballard, Kevin Cashion, Bill Coates, GiGi Delk, Brook Dillard, Steve Fitzpatrick, Mark Gartman, Jeff Harris, Tara Hays, Anwar Khalifa, Jim Lambeth, Gary Miller, Adam Morrow, Don Proudfoot, Randy Reynolds, Robert Rivers, Tom Seal, Melissa Shanhouse, Aubrey Sharpe, Donavan Thomas, Steve Thompson, Rebecca Wampler and Patrick Willis.
“We have a deep-rooted love for our communities, and this is why you will always see TJC represented at scale for events such as this,” Fowler said.
