TJC Wind Ensemble’s 2nd annual Halloween Kids’ Concert set Oct. 30

Back by popular demand, the TJC Wind Ensemble will present its 2nd annual Halloween Kids’ Concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, in Wise Auditorium.

Admission is free. The program is appropriate for all ages and will last about an hour.

Kids are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and join the fun. Before the performance, free face-painting will be done by TJC theater students and the Las Mascaras speech and drama club.

In addition to a program of popular movie favorites including selections from “Harry Potter” and “Star Wars,” the concert will include sing-alongs to Disney tunes. Also, kids will have an opportunity to have their photos taken with Anna and Elsa from “Frozen” and a few surprise characters.

“Last year’s concert was such a blast and so interactive,” Strickland said.

“Everyone had a great time, from the kids and parents in the audience to even our students performing on stage. It was exactly what you hope will happen during a live concert: that feeling of everyone being a part of the performance.”

After the concert, Touch of Gold twirling and color guard students will be handing out candy by the fountain outside Wise Auditorium.
