Seale named TJC campus police chief

Michael Seale has been named Tyler Junior College campus police chief. He began his duties on Monday.

As TJC police chief, Seale manages the campus police department, which consists of 19 officers and six staff.
 
“I’m honored to be chosen to serve as the next chief of the Tyler Junior College Police Department,” Seale said. “I look forward to working with everyone on campus to maintain a safe working and learning environment.”
 
A 13-year veteran law enforcement officer, Seale came to TJC from The University of Texas at Tyler, where he served as a cadet, officer, sergeant and lieutenant. Seale most recently served as the operations commander for the UT Tyler police department. He oversaw daily operations including patrol, criminal investigation, training, property and evidence, event security and other assigned tasks.
 
He holds a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from UT Tyler and an Associate of Science degree in criminal justice from Northeast Texas Community College. He is a graduate of the 79th Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas’ Leadership Command College. He is currently working on his Master of Science in Human Resource Development and certification in Organizational Development and Leadership.  
 
He is a member of the Texas Police Chiefs Association, Texas Municipal Police Officer Association, Texas Police Association, and the Texas System Police Association.
