The Early College High School Initiative allows students to receive a high school diploma and an associate degree, or up to two years of college credit, by taking a mixture of high school and college classes.
- Start as early as the 9th grade.
- Earn up to 60 hours of college credit.
- Possibility of earning an Associate Degree.
TJC has Early College High School agreements with Chapel Hill and Tyler Independent School Districts. Those interested in Early College High School should speak with their eighth-grade school counselor. Those selected into their ISD’s ECHS programs will then submit a TJC Dual Credit application.
