Why Early College?
The Early College High School initiative allows students to complete high school at the same time they attend Tyler Junior College. There is NO COST to attend an early college high school, and students do not pay for tuition, fees, or textbooks.
While in high school, you can
- Begin taking college classes in 9th grade
- Attend smaller sized classes
- Increase college and career readiness
- Receive comprehensive student support, such as tutoring, success coaching, and more
- Earn up to 60 hours of college credit or an Associate Degree
TJC partners with Tyler ISD to offer an early college high school in East Texas. Tyler Early College High school has been named the #1 high school in East Texas according to US News and World Reports.
