Early College

The Early College High School Initiative allows students to receive a high school diploma and an associate degree, or up to two years of college credit, by taking a mixture of high school and college classes.

  • Start as early as the 9th grade.
  • Earn up to 60 hours of college credit.
  • Possibility of earning an Associate Degree.

TJC has early college high school agreements with Chapel Hill ISD and Tyler ISD. Students and parents who are interested in an Early College High School program should contact these schools directly.  The application and interview process for early college typically occurs in December or January.  Selected student will then follow the TJC Dual Credit registration process
