Formal Complaint

If you are a current employee, student or applicant who believes you have been subjected to sexual harassment or sexual assault, you may report such misconduct or file a formal complaint with the Title IX Coordinator. A formal complaint means you ask the college to investigate the claim and initiate its formal grievance process. A formal complaint may only be completed by the individual who experienced the sexual harassment or sexual assault, and it must be signed and may not be made anonymously. A link to a formal complaint form is below. If you are not the alleged victim of conduct that may constitute sexual harassment/sexual assault (“Complainant”) or you are a Complainant but do not want to file a Formal Complaint, you may file an Incident Report (see link below).

Incident Reports

Anyone (student, employee, parent, or otherwise) may file an incident report to report an incident of sexual harassment/sexual assault occurring within the college’s education program or activity. You are welcome to remain anonymous if desired. If you have any incident documentation (e-mails, texts, letters, pictures, etc.), please turn those into our Title IX Coordinator, Jacqueline Lozano. Her office is in the White Administrative Services Center (WASC), 2nd Floor, and her email is Jacqueline.Lozano@tjc.edu, or you can upload these when you complete the report.

By completing this form, you certify that the information given is accurate to the best of your knowledge. TJC will respond to this report as required by applicable laws and policies. However, a formal investigation and initiation of the formal grievance process require the Complainant (the alleged victim of the claimed sexual harassment) to complete a Formal Complaint Form.
