Industrial Maintenance Technology
The Industrial Maintenance Technology program will prepare you for a broad range of industrial maintenance-related careers using an industry-guided curriculum with practical hands-on experience.
Students in the two-year IMT program will learn pneumatics, mechanical drives, hydraulics, electrical instrumentation, HVAC/R, rigging, boiler operation and more. You may already excel at any one of these trades, but TJC will make you a well-rounded, multicraft skilled worker.
How much does it pay?
$50,000-$100,000 per year
Certificates can be obtained through NC3, NCCER and other industrial credentialing entities.

Registration for fall 2018 enrollment is open! Please fill out a TJC application and select Industrial Maintenance Technology as your major.
TJC has worked with leaders from Tyler Pipe, Trane/Ingersoll-Rand, Sanderson Farms, Nestle, Target, Eastman Chemical and more to develop a curriculum so students can go directly into the workforce after graduating.
The Energy Center
Courses in Industrial Maintenance Technology take place in the state-of-the-art Energy Center, at TJC West. This building was designed from the bottom-up as a high-tech training facility.
