The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Diagnostic Echocardiography is designed to prepare skilled professionals to use state-of-the-art imaging equipment that produces high-frequency sound waves to create a "moving picture" of the heart. You'll work with the cardiac care team to assess the overall condition of the heart and help diagnose any existing cardiac abnormalities.

All major and prerequisite courses must be completed with a “C” or better grade. In addition, all anatomy and physiology classes must have been taken within the last five years. A minimum grade of 75% is required in all diagnostic echocardiography courses. The student who does not earn the minimum score may not be allowed to progress in the program.
