Living on Campus

Tyler Junior College is pleased to offer residential living facilities on the main TJC campus. The on-line housing application is on Apache Access and is separate from the TJC admissions application. You must have a Student ID, or A-number, from the TJC Admissions office before you can sign-in on the Apache Access site to complete the Housing application.

Fall 2014 Priority Placement DEADLINE was March 1, 2014

Housing applications received on or after March 1, 2014 will automatically be put on a placement waiting list. Completing the housing application process does not guarantee a residential space on campus.

During mid-May and early June, applicants who have a complete housing file prior to March 1, 2014 will be placed. When you are placed, a postcard will be mailed which lets you know you have a space on-campus. This postcard will not have hall and room information. In early July, a Fall 2014 placement information packet will be mailed. This packet will have hall and room information.

Application status can be checked by logging onto Apache Access and clicking on the Residential Life application link. Sign in and the application page will appear. Your application status will be seen;

  • DRAFT = Incomplete application, missing background check form or applied after March 1, 2014
  • SUBMITTED = File complete, waiting for review
  • IN REVIEW = Being processed
  • APPROVED = Processing complete, waiting to be placed
  • PLACED = Assigned, hall and room number can be seen

Priority for placement is determined by the electronic date/time stamp on the application. The first round of room assignments will be done in mid-May and early June and a postcard will be mailed to the applicant.
