New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation for 2014 is complete! Check out the details below to prepare for NSO 2015.
for two days next summer when the sun is shining and the campus is warm and beautiful. New Student Orientation’s early preparation and more personal approach to academic life at Tyler Junior College eases the new student’s transition from high school to college. Take placement tests, meet an academic advisor and select classes for the fall semester. In addition, learn about the philosophy of the college as well as many services offered.
Families are also encouraged to attend New Student Orientation. Their sessions focus on payment plans, housing contracts, meal plans and tips for parents to help encourage their students to become even more successful!
Each summer session has a limited enrollment, and is filled on a first-come first-served basis. Be sure to register early to ensure your top choice. Registration will be available January of 2015.
Do I stay overnight on campus?
On-campus housing is provided for the evening. All students are encouraged to stay overnight in a residence hall, but not required. You will need to bring your own linens, towels, toiletries, shower curtain, toilet tissue, alarm clock, etc., for the overnight stay. There is not a price difference in the registration fee if a student prefers to stay off campus. Parents are not allowed to stay on campus during orientation.
