clipartThe Vision Care Technology associate degree program will require students to complete 70 semester credit hours of course work, with 54 semester hours in the major technical and related areas of study and 16 semester credit hours of general academic course work. The curriculum is in compliance with the educational requirements of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and meets the requirements of business and industry. Basic skills and workplace competencies are integrated throughout the curriculum. Included in the curriculum is a 39 semester credit hour certificate option. The program is structured as 1+1 A.A.S degree plan program.

All technical courses in the degree curriculum must be successfully completed with a grade of "C" or better in order to receive the degree or certificate. Having not made a grade of "C" or better in any technical course, the student may not be allowed to continue taking technical courses until that deficiency is satisfied.
