Career opportunities and job placements have never been better than they are now and the future continues to look even brighter. The need for vision care technicians is based on the growing demand for additional opticians and replacement of existing jobs. As the population continues to grow and age, the demand for corrective lenses and increased eye care will grow proportionately.

There are many opportunities for a wide range of positions within the ophthalmic profession. These range from opticians, physicians assistants, to salespersons, to medical office managers, to contact lens research. Also, with the trend toward designer frames, dispensing opticians now need for creative people to serve the fashion-conscious consumer.
