JOB DESCRIPTION: A nine-month faculty position responsible to the dean, applied studies and professor/department chair, computer information systems/engineering technology.
1. Using professional publications, development activities and/or course work to enhance and deliver high quality instruction.
2. Actively involved in curriculum evaluation and revisions, as well as textbook selection and software packages.
3. Advising computer information systems majors
4. Assuming duties, including committee membership and research as assigned.
5. Preparing and maintaining course syllabi, objectives and student records.
6. Performing other duties as assigned by the dean or department chair.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Masters degree with 18 graduate semester hours in computer science, management information systems (MIS) or related areas required.
2. Minimum of three years computer science/data processing work experience other than teaching required.
3. Previous teaching experience desired, post-secondary preferred.
4. Knowledge of computer application software packages, including Microsoft Office and Windows.
5. Knowledge of microcomputer hardware and software, and experience with software engineering and software quality control.
SALARY: Commensurate with established schedule.
