 There are several methods for resetting your password.

  • Method 1: Microsoft Office 365 Password Reset – Available 24/7
  • Method 2: Automated Password Reset Phone Line – Available 24/7 *ONLY FOR STUDENT ACCOUNTS*
  • Method 3: Speak to a Service Desk Specialist – Available Monday-Thursday 7:00AM-7:00PM, Friday 7:00AM-5:00PM
  • Method 4: Visit the Technical Assistance Center in Vaughn Library – Hours Vary
  • Method 5: Email the IT Service Desk – Available Monday-Thursday 7:00AM-7:00PM, Friday 7:00AM-5:00PM


Method 1: Microsoft Office 365 Password Reset – Available 24/7

TJC uses Microsoft to reset TJC system passwords. Make sure you have access to your personal email account because you will receive an authentication code.

You must know your TJC email address. For students, this will be your student email address (@email.tjc.edu). For Faculty and staff, this will be your Faculty/Staff email (@tjc.edu).


1.Go to portal.office.com

2. Click on “Can’t access your account?”

3. Enter your email address in the user ID box, and fill out the CAPTCHA characters in the box below. Click Next.

4. Select the option to reset your password OR If you tried logging in too many times and you think your account is just locked out, select “I know my password, but still can’t sign in”.

5. Either option will bring you to a screen that will let you choose what method to verify that it’s you trying to access your account. You will be shown a partial recovery email or phone number. You will need to enter the full email or phone number to initiate verification step 2.

6. Verification step two will require you to enter a code as provided (email/text) or to follow the phone prompts (call).

7. Depending on the verification type you requested, you may need to do another set of verification.

Method 2: Automated Password Reset Phone Line – Available 24/7  *ONLY FOR STUDENT ACCOUNTS*

 

Call the Automated Password Reset Phone Line to reset your password. Please have your A number ready and a place to document your new password beforehand.

1. Call (903) 510-3269

2. Press option 1 (Student)

3. Select Option 1 again (Password Reset)

3. Enter your A number including the leading zeros. Do not include the letter A.

4. Enter your birthdate in YYYYMMDD format.

5. Remain on the line until you have heard your new password.


Method 3: Speak to a Service Desk Specialist – Available Monday-Thursday 7:00AM-7:00PM, Friday 7:00AM-5:00PM

We have Service Desk Specialists available to take your call Monday-Thursday 7:00AM-7:00PM, Friday 7:00AM-5:00PM

1. Call the Service Desk: (903) 510-3269.

2. Press option 4 to speak to a Service Desk Specialist.


Method 4: Visit the Technical Assistance Center in Vaughn Library – Hours Vary

 

Fall/Spring Semester Hours

Monday-Thursday 7:30AM-7PM

Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM


Summer Hours

Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4PM 


Stop by the Technical Assistance Center desk located on the first floor of Vaughn Library.


 

Method 5: Email the IT Service Desk – Available Monday-Thursday 7:00AM-7:00PM, Friday 7:00AM-5:00PM

 

Emails are processed Monday-Thursday 7:00AM-7:00PM, Friday 7:00AM-5:00PM.

2. Please include your A number and a callback number. Password resets must occur over the phone for security purpose.
