Associate of Arts - Field of Study (Fully Online)

The mission of the Business program is to meet the needs of students planning to transfer to a four-year Institution by offering comprehensive accounting and business courses and adhering to the state approved Field of Study in Business degree plan. Student majoring in business specialty fields such as accounting, business administration, entrepreneurship, finance, international business, management or marketing should follow this curriculum. Introductory coursework in accounting, economics, and information systems will be completed to provide the foundation for specialized business study later in the four year BBA degree. 

When selecting an elective, make sure you select one that is taught online.

*From the core choices, ECON 2301 and Math 1314 or 1324 are required for the Business Field of Study.

*University requirements may differ. Selection of an elective for transfer should be based on senior college requirements.

*BUSI 1301, Business Principles, is a recommended elective for general studies students considering business as a major and gives a good introduction to and (should be an) overview of the field of business. It is not a required course for transfer by senior colleges and universities.

*MATH 1342 Elementary Statistical Methods is an additional math course required by The University of Texas at Tyler and Stephen F. Austin State University for admission into upper level business curriculums.
