TJC will host Operation East Texas -- a free dental, medical and vision outreach -- from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday, July 29-Aug. 1, and 8 a.m.-noon Friday, Aug. 2.
The event will be held at the Rogers Nursing & Health Sciences Center located at 1200 E. Fifth St., on the TJC main campus.
This is the fourth annual Operation East Texas event, a collaboration between TJC Dental Studies and Vocational Nursing, Texas A&M College of Dentistry, UT Health Science Center at Tyler, UT Tyler Nursing and Pharmacy, TJC Wellness and Exercise Science and the Tyler Lions Club.
Services available will include limited dental services including basic fillings and extractions, cleanings and sealants as well as medical and vision screenings. No root canals, partials or dentures will be available at this event.
All patients must be screened, and the number of screenings per day is limited. Treatment is prioritized by severity, and all patients will be seen by an on-site medical provider prior to receiving dental treatment.
Interested persons should bring their current list of medications and daily supplement bottles with them, but ID is not required.
