TJC to host Behavioral Sciences Showcase on March 26

It’s a common misconception that a behavioral science degree can only lead to a career in psychology, sociology or social work.

“Of course, it can lead to those professions,” said Dr. David Hubbard, TJC behavioral sciences department chair, “but understanding the human mind and behavior can also be a starting point for other career paths, including public relations, media, human resources and law enforcement.”

TJC will offer a closer look at these programs during a free Behavioral Sciences Showcase, set from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, in the Southside Bank Room (Room 131), in the Robert M. Rogers Nursing & Health Sciences Center, on the TJC main campus.

Speakers will include TJC professors:
• Clint Selman, psychology
• Stephanie Lassanske, social work
• Dr. Ryan Button, sociology

The event is open to the public. Parking is free.
