Jodi Seal named chair of TJC ADN program

Jodi Seal has been promoted to department chair of the TJC Associate Degree Nursing Program. She began her new duties on Aug. 1.

Seal joined the TJC nursing faculty in 2010, as a professor.

She reports directly to Paul Monagan, dean of the TJC School of Nursing and Health Sciences.

“Jodi is a capable and enthusiastic leader,” Monagan said, “and we look forward to seeing her flourish in her new role as department chair of our nursing program.”

In 2015, Seal earned the designation of Certified Nurse Educator through a rigorous examination developed and administered by the National League of Nursing.

Prior to TJC, she worked as a registered nurse in area hospitals and clinics, in settings ranging from pre- and post-operative coronary patient care to pre-procedural assessments and patient sedation for digestive disease procedures.

She received her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Tyler in 2010 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2004.
