Genecov Science Building to be renovated

Renovation of the Genecov Science Building has begun and will affect the location of many classes and offices for the Spring 2011 semester.

During the renovation, many lecture classes and lab sessions that would ordinarily take place in Genecov will meet in Apache Woodlands, a series of portable buildings located near the intersection of Devine Street and Porter Avenue. Student parking for Apache Woodlands is available in lots on Blackwell Avenue and Devine Street, near the JoAnn Medlock Murphy Tennis Center.

"The College asks its students, faculty and staff to be patient during this time of transition," said Bill King, executive director of facilities and construction.

The construction timeline calls for the renovation to be complete by the Fall of 2011.
