Good Cents Financial Literacy
Tyler Junior College and Texas Bank and Trust are partnering on a yearlong series of events designed to increase students’ knowledge of credit and banking with the "Good Cents" program, intended to measurably increase student' financial literacy so that they can avoid bad credit and huge debt. Please check back often as new classroom instruction opportunities and campus events are added throughout the year.

Holidays are just around the corner and that means having to buy gifts for your loved ones. One problem.... you're broke! Not to worry, Good Cents is here to help! Come create a wonderful gift for your loved ones just before finals.
You will be able to make up to two gifts for friends, family members or loved ones. Food will be provided. Apache ID required for entry.
During selected times, a TJC campus police golf cart will be offering rides to student who wish to participate in a financial literacy quiz.
Students will be asked up to three questions. For correctly answering the first question, a student will receive a dollar bill, and $2 for correctly answering the second question. For correctly answering the third question, the student will receive a $10 gift card.Sponsored by Texas Bank and Trust as part of the Good Cents Financial Literacy Program.
Need to find out how credit works? Need laundry money? Come get both!
Mary Johnson, Higher One special guest speaker will teach students about their credit. Participants will learn things about their credit score that may impact your future, such as:
Sessions held in the Ornelas Gold Room. Food will be provided. Participants will receive a laundry package at the end of the session which includes money for one wash!
