In 2009, the Texas Legislature approved a new $25 million Jobs and Education for Texans (JET) program to help Texans get technical training for careers in fast-growing, “high-demand” occupations. These include high-paying fields such as high-tech manufacturing, computer support, nursing and allied health professions. Tyler Junior College received grant funds for two years through the JET Program to assist students with tuition and fee expenses.
If TJC receives funding from the State of Texas through this initiative for the upcoming school year, the application process will be opened to students in select majors. An announcement will be posted on Apache Access to notify students of this opportunity.
