Tyler Junior College

How to Get Started

How to Enroll

Who can enroll? Anyone eligible to enroll in a course at Tyler Junior College may enroll in a distance learning class. Veterans are eligible to earn benefits for distance classes but should talk to a VA advisor.

How do you start? Apply to TJC. After you've been admitted, meet with your advisor (in person, by phone, or by email). After your advisor has cleared your advising hold, you are ready to register for classes. You should be sure to complete our Online Student Orientation to learn about distance learning at TJC and to make sure you are a good fit for a distance course. All distance courses will have either a face-to-face orientation or an online orientation that you must complete. Make sure you check the online course orientation schedule in our related downloads for times and dates.

What do I need to know to do on the computer? Check out the What Skills Do I Need? page in the Online Student Orientation for more information.

What if I have problems with Apache Access? Either fill out the Service Desk request form, call the Service Desk at 903-510-3269, or email the Service Desk.
