Alumni Homecoming GOLDEN
On October 12th and 13th, hundreds of alumni and friends of the College came back to campus to celebrate Homecoming 2012. On Friday night, the Apache Band and Belle Alumni celebrated their 65th Anniversary. On Saturday we honored five outstanding former students at our awards luncheon. Once again congratulations to Award Recipients: CMS Pat Snow, Dr. and Mrs. Paul Latta, Adam Daley and Emma Lou Prater for their accomplishments and service to our community, College, and/or nation. Special thanks to Mitch Andrews, our master of ceremonies and to Harmony and Understanding alumni for leading us in singing our Alma Mater - accompanied once again by our own J.W. Johnson on the piano.
That afternoon, we dedicated the new J.W. Johnson Choral Hall and held reunions for the Apache Band (a tribute to Dr. Edwin Fowler), the Apache Belles ’60-62, and the Brothers & Sisters. Later that afternoon, the alumni association hosted their annual tailgate party followed by the Apache Band, Belles, and their alumni kicking-off the pre-game show by once again “Walking the Rim.” And to top off the perfect weekend, our Apache Football team beat the Cisco Wranglers!
We also want to congratulate our 2012 Alumni Homecoming Apache Princesses, the Broadfoot Twins, Jane McElmurry and Jean Bridges!
