Apache Parents, Apache Proud!
Tyler Junior College embraces parents and families as essential and important components of the TJC community. The mission of the Apache Parents and the Tyler Junior College Parent and Family Association has been to support the needs of students and their parents. Our goals are to keep parents informed, create positive ways for parents to be involved with the College and to act as a liaison between parents/families and the TJC administration, offices and departments.
We serve the parents and families of all TJC students. By sponsoring such activities as Parents Weekend and Family Orientation, Apache Parents provides opportunities for parents and family members to meet TJC administrators and faculty, socialize with other parents and actively participate in their Apaches’ lives on campus.
The TJC Parent and Family Association provides student scholarships, gives awards for outstanding teaching and research, recognizes TJC staff members who significantly enhance the experience of the student body and offers financial support to the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and student programs, events and initiatives.

We are so happy to have your student at Tyler Junior College. As the parent or family member of a college student you may be looking for ways to ensure their success. We share that common goal and would like your support on campus. Tyler Junior College is beginning a unique program geared towards parents and we would like your involvement. Our goal is to keep you, the parent or family member, in communication with the College and to create a solid support base for our students.
Please enjoy our website designed specifically for the parent of a college student. Look for the Parent Partners newsletter twice a semester for important updates and new ways to become involved. I welcome all suggestions and would love to hear what topics you would be interested to see here.
