The Tyler Junior College Foundation was incorporated in 1965 as a separate 501 (c) (3) support organization for Tyler Junior College. Its mission is to enhance the overall reputation of Tyler Junior College, to provide external resources to fund College priorities, and to create opportunities for the college to build partnerships with alumni, friends, donors, corporations and foundations. The Foundation is governed by a 35-member board of directors who have helped grow its endowment from just over $6 million in 1999 to over $30 million today. The majority of these assets are endowment funds that support the college's programs, faculty and students. Like many other publicly supported institutions in Texas, the margin of excellence in our activities is dependent upon endowment gifts. Endowment resources help us to retain the best faculty, to attract the most talented students and to provide the most responsive programming.
Tyler Junior College gives equal consideration to all applicants for admission, employment and participation in its programs and activities without regard to race, creed, color, national origin, gender, age, marital status, disability, veteran status or limited English proficiency (LEP). Tyler Junior College respects the legal rights of each person to work and learn in an environment that is free from unlawful sexual discrimination including sexual harassment and sexual violence.
