The mission of the Distance Learning Department is to continually enhance access to and advance the quality of education provided at Tyler Junior College by providing direction, supervision, assessment, and support for all types of distance learning.
How to Access Your Online Classes
- Log on to Apache Access by clicking the Students tab at the top of the page or by going to myapacheaccess.tjc.edu.
- Under "Quick Links" on the left side of the page, click the "My Online Courses" link.
- On the My Courses page in the "Course Schedule for" field, select the current semester.
- You should see a list of the courses you are enrolled in. Click the title of the course you want to access. The course content will be available on the first day of class.

Taking Online Courses at Other Colleges
The Virtual College of Texas gives you the opportunity to take courses at another college that you can't get at TJC at another college. We'll enroll you in the course, and your grade will come back to your transcript here at TJC. Call Gay Howard at 903-510-2529 to get started.

We provide opportunities for taking Internet, hybrid, and telecourses. In addition 2-way video courses are used to deliver college credit courses to area high schools.
