By learning to use a knife correctly, you can lessen the time of your food preparation and making the overall cooking process less difficult, safer, and an overall enjoyable experience. A good knife can serve as the foundation of a well equipped kitchen. This “Knife Skills” class and workshop can help remedy all of these basic issues. You will learn the basics on how to hold and guide a knife, how to make precision cuts, and gain the knowledge needed to become more efficient and effective in the kitchen. David Colella, a professional and executive chef and cooking instructor will guide you through the practice of keeping your knives sharp and handling them correctly. David Colella is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America located in the state of New York. Throughout his 30+ years of culinary experience, he has worked within different facets of the food industry – from restaurants, hotels, and airline culinary operations and management experience.
