Exploring the Internet
Surf, browse, and learn all the exciting uses of the World Wide Web! This course will provide students with a thorough introduction to Internet Explorer. Students will learn how to browse the Web, check IP addresses, work with Favorites, add an RSS news feed, and use the History list. They will learn about tabbed browsing, as well as how to save, print, and zoom in on a Web page. They will also conduct searches, customize the browser environment, explore privacy and security options, and learn how to connect through social networking sites. Textbook included. (8 hrs.)
Prerequisite: Introduction to Computers, Computer Basics or consent of instructor.
