Apache Cheerleading

General Information: Cheerleaders/Student Athletes

  • Tyler Junior College is the largest single campus junior college in the State of Texas consisting of over 10 athletic groups and 5 performance arts group.
  • Academics are the main emphasis. All cheerleaders/mascots are full-time student athletes who must maintain a 2.0 grade point average to remain eligible for participation. Benefits include advising, tutoring, and resume assistance.
  • All student athletes at Tyler Junior College are actively involved in community service activities (i.e.: Jerry Lewis Telethon, Walk a Mile for a Special Child, ARC, Walk for Diabetes, etc…). All community service activities are designed to enhance interactions within the community.
  • Tyler Junior College gives equal consideration to all applicants for admission, employment and participation it its programs and activities without regard to race, creed, color, national origin, gender, age, marital status, disability or veteran status.
