Hawaii Trip--Spring Break 2003Spring Break 2003 more than 300 Tyler Junior College performing arts students, faculty, staff and friends traveled to the island of Oahu. The TJC Apache Belles, Band, Jazz Band, Harmony & Understanding, and A Cappella Choir entertained U.S. military members and their families at Pearl Harbor Navy Base and Scholfield Army Barracks near Honolulu. "This was a memorable trip for everyone who went, especially the students who performed for our nation's service men and women," said TJC President Dr. William R. Crowe. "In the College's 77-year history, this is the first time all of our performing groups have traveled together to perform. A large contingent of friends and alumni also traveled with us at their own expense, making it the largest travel group for a TJC-sponsored activity."
