Program Information

The Human Services: Addiction Counselor Training Program is designed to provide general and specific educational and training experiences to students intending to work as Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors (LCDC) in the state of Texas. The program will develop the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary for a student to become a certified "trainee".

*    Students must consult with an academic advisor before enrolling in courses each semester.  Courses must be taken in sequence and may have a prerequisite course.  All entering students must see the department chair in order to attend orientation.  Courses must be completed with a “C” or better for completion.
