Question: What is Adobe Reader?
Answer: Adobe® Reader® is free, universal software that lets you open, view, search, and print Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files with built-in security features. To date, more than 500 million copies of Adobe Reader have been distributed worldwide on 23 platforms and 26 languages.
A Interactive PDF Form have been designed so that you can type information directly into the appropriate data fields and then print the forms on your computer's printer.
The forms' data entry fields may be selected by clicking with a mouse in the appropriate field on the form. When printing you should make sure that "annotations" in the print dialog box is not checked.
Question: How can I tell the difference between a Static PDF and a Interactive PDF?
Answer: On the TJC Site look for the (i-PDF) in Red Text next to the link.
PC users: Right Click on the link and choose "Save Target As"
Mac users: Option+ Click on the link and choose "Save"
Save the PDF to your computer desktop or in the folder of your choice.
Open the Interactive PDF File: You need the latest version of the free program Acrobat Reader to access the Select Tool. If you already have Acrobat Reader, you may need to download a newer version. You can download it at www.adobe.com.
Fill out the form: Fill out form fields & print.
Note: Data Form Field's with a RED SQUARE & PLUS SYMBOL icon will not print content past that point.
TIP: Click on the Red Square icon at the upper left corner of the opened form to reset the form, i.e. clear data that has been entered.
*Interactive Form Tip: Look to the Right Side of the i-PDF Document Message Bar and Select Highlight Fields. This will Highlight ONLY the Interactive Form Fields (in Baby Blue Colour) that needs to be filled out.
