"Sections 1 & 2"

"Tyler Junior College Fairy Tale Theatre"

Sections 1 & 2 may be the most fun you've ever experienced in a college class. Performances will build confidence and strengthen communication skills. You'll grow closer to classmates than other classes.

Sections 1 & 2 is a different approach to Theatre Appreciation than the other sections. Where the other sections are lecture based, tests are given, textbooks are bought, and grades are given from those activities, these two sections have a life of their own.

Sections 1 & 2 is a performance class. We will spend the semester in preparation for presenting children's classic fairy tales in dramatic performance. Plays will be cast, costumes will coordinated, and rehearsals will be held. All of this activity is geared toward producing short plays for kindergarten - 3rd grades of nearby elementary schools. Between mid-semester and finals, we will present out plays to hundreds of school children. All class activity will be completed during your class time.
