The "Golden Oldie Workshop" is a program which invites former TJC speech and theater students to share their real world experiences with current students.

Recently, Joe Funke, class of 82, was the featured speaker at the workshop. Joe is producer for Eclipse Entertainment which is based in Dallas. This company provides innovative approaches to outstanding themed events. It also provides an outlet for actors and technical specialists. Joe brought the world of commercial special events to the audience and also held an audition/ audition workshop for those students attending.

Terry Gipson conducted a work shop in November 1999 that covered technical design in professional theatre. Terry is the Senior Designer for MTV Networks that includes Nickelodeon, both are subsidiaries of the Viacom Corporation.

Las Mascaras Alumni membership is open to any Tyler Junior College alumni who participated in any Speech or Theatre during their tenure on campus. There is no cost, only that you send us your present mailing address. Contact us at dcra@tjc.edu
