DESCRIPTION OF COURSE: This course is designed to acquaint the student with the technical aspects of theatre production -- with emphasis on building, painting, and lighting for the stage.

PURPOSE AND GOALS OF COURSE: By the end of the semester the student will be able to build and paint a flat and be able to discuss or identify and use the basic shop tools. Ability will be judged by written exams and practical evaluation by the instructor.
