Personal Bio

I have worked for Tyler Junior College for 10 years. I started as Clinical Instructor at East Texas Medical Center in 1997. I remained in that position until I took the position of Clinical Coordinator in August 2000. In 2007 I took the position as Department Chair.

I graduated from the Tyler Junior College Radiologic Technology Program in 1993. After Graduation I worked for East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas before taking a position at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, working mainly in the emergency room on evenings. I also worked on an as needed basis for other hospitals in the East Texas area. At the same time I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from LeTourneau University. I completed the course work for my Masters degree at the University of Texas at Tyler in 2007.

My first experience teaching was for a single semester at Kilgore College. There is a great satisfaction in helping students with good attitudes and a real desire for learning to understand difficult concepts.

I am the father of 2 fine young men, ages 11 and 14, with whom I like to spend as much time as possible. I also enjoy physical exercise, home improvement projects and paintball.
