Open Computer Lab Computers & Software

Each computer station in the lab has a computer with the Windows 7 operating system, a variety of internet browsers, and Microsoft Office 2013.

You must present a valid TJC student ID card in order to use the lab facilities. Students may be asked to surrender their ID card to the lab assistant on duty and may be asked to specify the reason for the use of the computers to help us determine future computing needs.  IDs will be returned when the student checks out of the lab. Non-students who possess a Vaughn Library Courtesy cards may also use the lab by presenting their card.  All such courtesy card users must give precedence to currently enrolled TJC students.

Lab assistants are on duty to assist patrons with getting started on the computer and  to monitor the software and equipment. Lab assistants are not computer tutors nor should they be expected to be familiar with every program being used; however, they will assist as they are able.

The lab is usually closed when the campus is closed, including national holidays, Winter Break, and Spring Break.
